“As a warm up for w00t we will hold a ‘Hack a Toy’ session on the 16th of may in Nikolaj Kunsthal.
w00t welcomes you to the kids room where everything is turned upside down: Barbie has buttons she had no idea she needed, and teddybears recite ’80’s poetry when you touch their paws. In other words: Our toys have been hacked.
So, bring your kids and their toys and discover how creative toy hackers can manipulate, twist, reshape and challenge the toy industry’s conventions. The material, (your) toys will be hacked by installation artists, theater artists and inventors.
Besides visiting the workshops you can experience toy installations, listen to short talks about games and toys, and play games you never knew existed.
The hacked toys will be displayed during the play festival w00t held at the KU.BE grounds, Frederiksberg, 25-26th May. There the hacked toys will be returned to their owners during a great ceremony”
